How Spravato Works

Unlike conventional antidepressants, Spravato targets glutamate, an excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain. By increasing glutamate levels, Spravato facilitates the creation of new synapses between neurons, potentially leading to quicker and more effective alleviation of depressive symptoms.

Due to Spravato’s potential to distort perception temporarily, patients are required to remain at our facility for a minimum of two hours post-treatment. To ensure safety, a responsible person must drive patients home after each session.
