What is Spravato(esketamine)?Spravato (esketamine) is a prescription nasal spray used to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) who have suicidal thoughts or actions. With the nasal spray, you administer three doses, spaced five minutes apart, under doctor supervision, and remain in the clinic under observation until potential side effects have passed.

This method allows for quick absorption and more controlled dosing, which can be especially useful when other forms of treatment (like oral medications) aren't as effective.
